CLARIAN PLACE CHILD CARE & LEARNING CENTER
Headquartered in Decatur, Georgia services children ages 6 weeks through school-age, and offers a secure, happy, enriching and warm environment for your child. Our spacious classrooms are designed to fit the needs of the children's age and developmental levels. Our spacious playgrounds providing lots of room for fun and play. A component of this facility

is Parent Interaction, which encourages parents to drop in anytime and to take part in classroom activities and special events. If you find yourself missing your little angel, and you're stuck behind your desk! The center offers "LIVE" internet viewing to parents of enrolled students. The interior classrooms, hallways, exterior exits and playground, are all monitored via a live surveillance security system. Our electronic secured entry, provides added security for our parents, our students and our staff. Other Facility Features includes:

* Infant grouping in 2 separate nurseries (6 weeks to 8 months) & (9 months to 15 months) - Decatur facilities ONLY
* Daily activity reports
* Low child:adult ratios
* Age appropriate curriculum
* Potty training offered
* Extended hours until 7:00 p.m. Our objective is to provide a positive atmosphere which will promote the social, physical, intellectual and emotional growth of children. Learning experiences appropriate for the developmental age of each group, are provide daily. To enhance a child’s feeling of self-worth, our staff uses positive guidance techniques. The close personal attention given to each child further enhances positive self-esteem and nurtures healthy relationships with peers. Our daily schedule includes, breakfast, lunch, and afternoon snack. Large and small group interaction helps the children learn to cooperate, listen and share; self-selected activities stimulates cognitive growth and creativity, as well as emotional and social development; daily outdoor activities help develop large and small motor skills. Clarian Place Child Care welcomes you to visit our locations to see the beautiful space that has been created for YOUR child. Our "Open Door" policy allows you to visit and tour our facilities at a time that best fits your schedule. We look forward to your visit and the opportunity to service your child are needs.

The Lead Teacher/Caregiver shall report directly to the Assistant Director concerning all classroom, curriculum, or material matters. Lead Teachers must have no less than a CDA Certificate, a Technical Certificate, or an AA Diploma in Early Childhood Development. Salary offered shall be comparable to individual’s level of education and training. The responsibilities for this position include, but may not be limited to the following:

1. Manage the classroom program.
2. Thoroughly and effective follow the lesson plan provided in the curriculum each month.
3. Supervises and guides each child’s development.
4. Provides feedback to assigned Aide with regards to classroom activities and each child’s development.
5. Positive communication with all parents and staff.
6. Works with Director and parents to solve any potential problems in the classroom concern behavior issues and/or academic challenges.
7. Conduct Quarterly Teacher/Parent conference meeting to discuss child’s progress and development.
8. Maintains appropriate records on each child.
9. Take daily attendance.
10. Provide daily head count to Cook of all meals served.
11. Follow posted classroom schedule at all times.
12. Maintain a clean and hazard free classroom at all times.
13. Participates in center events.
14. Assists in the training of other staff members.
15. Additional duties as assigned.
16. Maintain minimum 15 clock hours of continuing education training annually.
17. Follow COVID-19 Guidelines
As a Teacher/Caregiver in this facility, you are expected to maintain a positive and professional attitude and appearance at all times. Teamwork is important and you are expected to be a cooperative team member.
