Persian at Emory

Mejlis Institute, Armenia-based NGO, is pleased to announce the launch of a new online month-long intensive Persian language course for lower to upper-intermediate level students. The course, running from 31st July to 27th August 2023, is designed for students who would like to immerse themselves in the Persian language and learn more about the intricate social tapestry of Iran. The course is themed around ‘travel’ through Iran, exploring the cultural and geographical diversity of its various regions. Each class will be divided equally between the study of grammar, reading and conversation in Persian (one hour devoted to each). Students will have the opportunity to discover the different regions of Iran through a selection of related texts and documentaries, in addition to reading classical and contemporary Persian poetry that pays homage to a rich cultural heritage.
