Wilderness Day with the Emergency Medicine Residency at NGMC was one for the books!

From learning how to respond to a bear attack (or was it just Dr. Andy Ball in a bear suit? We'll never tell!) to gaining hands-on experience in prehospital medicine, our residents spent the week sharpening their skills in unique and challenging environments.

The experience also included eight hours of EMS-focused lectures and plenty of opportunities for team building and camaraderie with their class. It was an unforgettable week of learning, growth and fun.

Congratulations to Clinical Simulation Educator, Tasha, on being selected as a 2026 Great 100 Nurse of Georgia!

This award recognizes nurses' profound concern for humanity, their significant contributions to the nursing profession, and dedication to mentoring others.
