One of our PEAK Program students, Rita, recently had the opportunity to lead a treatment-based dental camp at a secondary school in Nepal as part of her clinical training!
During the camp, 80 students and 25 parents received dental screenings, with around 35 students receiving treatments including Atraumatic Restorative Treatment (ART) and extractions.
For Rita, the experience was not only a meaningful opportunity to give back to the community, but also an important step in strengthening her practical skills and confidence as a future dental professional 🦷🦷

Through our RISE (Rural Investments in Student Education) Program, HCC provides support to vulnerable and at-risk children in rural Nepal, helping reduce barriers that can prevent them from staying in school.
Alongside scholarships and educational support, aid distribution helps ensure students have access to basic necessities, creating greater stability for children and families facing difficult circumstances.
In communities where education is not always guaranteed, these forms of support can make a real difference in helping children continue to learn.

Meet Pushpa, one of our recent PEAK Program graduates who earned her Bachelor’s degree in Travel and Tourism. She is currently completing an internship at a five-star hotel in Thailand!
When asked about an experience at HCC that has always stuck with her, Pushpa shared:
“The night stay at Godawari with the entire HCC family, celebrating Susan Aunt’s birthday with swimming, dancing, singing, and so much joy. It was such a special and magical moment.
It was our first time celebrating her birthday that way, and it still holds a very dear place in my heart.
Those simple, happy times together as one big HCC family always feel the warmest.”
We are so proud of everything Pushpa has accomplished and so excited to see where this next chapter takes her!! ❤️

Meet Bina, one of our recent PEAK Program graduates who earned her Bachelors degree in Travel & Tourism Management, and now works as a Trekking guide in Nepal!
When asked how it feels to reach this milestone, Bina shared:
"Reaching this milestone feels deeply emotional for me, almost overwhelming in the best way. There was a time when opportunities like this felt distant, almost impossible. I remember moments filled with doubt, uncertainty, and questions about whether I would ever make it this far. But somehow, through every challenge, I kept going, and with the support I received through HCC, I found the strength to continue and believe in myself.
This journey was never just about education. It was about discovering who I am. It was about learning to stand back up after falling, about finding resilience in the hardest moments, and realizing that I am stronger than I ever thought I could be. Every struggle, every setback shaped me, pushed me, and helped me grow into the person I am today.
Graduating doesn’t feel like just my achievement, it feels like a shared victory. It carries the love, encouragement, and belief that others had in me, especially during the times when I couldn’t believe in myself. That means everything to me.
Now, as I step into this new chapter, I do so with hope in my heart and confidence in my steps. And more than anything, I carry a quiet promise within me: to one day give back, to support others the way I was supported, and to be part of someone else’s journey of hope."
Seeing Bina reach this milestone has been incredibly special, and we couldn’t be prouder of her!! ❤️

Students in our PEAK Program live at Khushi Ghar, meaning “Happy Home” in Nepali. It is a space where those under our care build confidence, connection, and a true sense of belonging.
From volleyball games and music sessions to group yoga and evenings spent together, these everyday moments create a strong, supportive community that our students know they can always rely on in times of need.
This environment helps our students flourish by helping them develop the independence, resilience, and life skills they need for the future.
Even as they move into more independent living, Khushi Ghar remains a place that they can always return to, whether to share a meal, support younger students, or simply be together as a family ❤️

At HCC, mentorship is rooted in a mindset of “leaders training leaders.” Giving back to the community is a cornerstone of our educational philosophy, and our students carry this forward with a strong sense of gratitude and responsibility.
Recently, PEAK Program students Smriti, Kabita and Pratima volunteered with the
Leo Club of Kathmandu Saya, taking part in a community cleanup at Pashupatinath Temple, one of Nepal’s most sacred and culturally significant sites.
Reflecting on the experience, Smriti shared that these efforts were “not only about physical work, but also about creating awareness regarding environmental cleanliness and social responsibility. Spending time in a spiritual environment, while contributing positively to the community helped clear my mind and brought a sense of inner peace and satisfaction.”
Kabita also added that “participating made me understand how small efforts can make a big impact… It was a rewarding experience that strengthened my dedication to community service.”
