I had such a blast working with these incredible students at the Andrew P Stewart Center last night!! They worked hard to create college wishlists and I can’t wait for our next session working on application essays!! ❤️
Thank you, for leading a session with our Juniors and Seniors last night! Our students were able to determine the top 8 schools they want to apply to based on their GPA, SAT/ACT score, and interests. Looking forward to next time: essay writing and scholarships! 📚📚

According to College Board, the weight placed on each aspect of your application may be different depending on the type of institution (i.e. large, small, public, private, liberal arts, STEM-focused).
"Many small, selective colleges pay greater attention to personal statements and essays, teacher and counselor recommendations, leadership experiences and the individual talents of applicants. They typically offer the chance for a face-to-face interview.
Large, public state university systems often use a mathematical formula based on a student's grade point average (GPA) and scores on the SAT or ACT. They tend to favor in-state applicants."
Ensure your application stands out by highlighting your successes and what you can contribute to both academic and student life on campus!
