It’s a simple concept.

We don’t mind what you do at home or elsewhere, but if it’s something that’s going to make people uncomfortable in a public establishment, we respectfully ask, JUST NOT HERE. We’re not saying to change who you are or what you believe in. We’re just kindly asking to please leave your weapons in the car, or leave the dog at home, or put your cigarette out, as a courtesy to

others. I thought up this monster social etiquette campaign after a simple conversation with a friend about Georgia’s new gun law, the Safe Carry Protection Act (HB-60) that went into effect July 1, 2014. It expands gun rights to bars, restaurants, churches, government buildings, schools, hotels, etc., leaving it up to the proprietor to allow weapons – or not. JUST NOT HERE. gives business owners, church leaders, hotel managers, etc., the opportunity to converse with their patrons, not argue. We respect your right to carry. This is a social campaign designed to give peace-of-mind to not only customers but also to the business owners and managers themselves. Tell your story to your clientele. “We’re not asking you to leave, we’re just asking you to leave your weapon in the car for the sake of those around you.” Have a conversation, not an argument. is a diplomatic way to get your point across. We understand many Americans believe in arming themselves; it’s in the Constitution, and it’s your right. is not a political statement. We are a business and if you believe in arming yourself, we have merchandise available for you. As a public business or establishment, we at JUST NOT HERE. felt "open" carry could negatively affect your bottom dollar. An openly carried weapon in your establishment can cause customers to turn around and walk out, or worse, end up as a photo or video on social media sites. We also find “No Guns Allowed” signs to be a bit contentious. If you’re an American who believes in your right to the 2nd Amendment, “No Guns Allowed” signs could cause a riff. A new product to feature here at JNH.! I hear about this problem from many business owners. I can see someone walking into a retail store with food or drink, but a restaurant? Happens all the time I guess. Some funny stories too ~ Last week a gentleman walked into a local pub (that sells delicious food) and ordered a PBR, sat down at the bar, and continued to spread out his McDonalds meal, laid it out like he was at home with a place mat. Why can't we ladies respect each other enough to use the seat covers or toilet paper for the next gal walking in? No one wants to clean up your urine. Respect Others! Sorry a wee bit rated PG-13 this morning, but hey, it's Friday. So, this weekend, let's all clean up after ourselves, shall we? Including you men out there!

Sounds like Huron Valley School System in Michigan need some JNH. signage for when parents open-carry at school. They immediately go into “emergency procedures," including the school going into lock-down, calling 911, and having police come out "every time" someone open carries. Sometimes state gun laws don't work well with the policies and principles of school procedure. A waste of police time and tax money? Who's going to bend?

A father recently wore his handgun on his hip into his child's school. The school has not identified the man, but other parents were concerned.

A perfect example of the power of positive signage! You get a lot more out of respect, than fear. We speak the same language. ..."it has to be simple so they can understand it quickly." JUST NOT HERE. signage uses "cognitive pattern recognition" where your mind understands the sign before your eyes read it. Between the tone of the message and the simplicity, we are both onto something here.
