PACE!
This video was made by the international World Hope Project, which includes children and teens from around the world--every continent except Antarctica! The 12-year-old shown speaking wrote the words, himself.
In addition to this video, the group have produced several other moving and inspiring videos in recent years.
(P.S. - I am happy and proud to know Ms. Tina Harlow, the wonderful chief organizer of this project. Tina is a professional counselor for gifted children in Colorado.)

Hey y'all. I'm writing an article about spiritual development for the Advanced Development Journal and want to conduct this very informal poll. If you can help me out here, I'd appreciate it. All of your responses are confidential, of course; I'm looking for themes in the responses.
QUESTION: In your experience and/or opinion, why is it so difficult to talk about spirituality in our society?
If you'd prefer to respond privately, you can email me at [email protected]
Thanks!

There are so many levels of tragedy in this event from last year, I hardly know where to begin to name them.
Neither Could He Breathe: Exceptionality, Victimization, and the Death of Elijah McClain | National Association for Gifted Children
Mark Hess with Kristina H. Collins “I am just different,” he said, and then Elijah McClain apologized and asked for forgiveness. In August of 2019, Aurora, Colorado police stopped Elijah McClain for “suspicious behavior.” Elijah had committed no crime, but a struggle ensued in which police u...

ONLINE Groups for Gifted Women are Starting Soon!
Have you checked out the details yet? The BISQ*Sisters’ Place is a (virtual) haven for small groups of gifted women to gather in community, finding connection through conversation, support, and exploration of ideas about what it’s like to be a gifted woman in the 21st century.
No need to travel to get to a group meeting, no need to wear a face mask, no need to change out of your sweatpants (or yoga pants, or pajama pants, or whatever)… It’s a comfy haven. 😊
But if you want to get in on the inaugural 7-session series of small groups (as long as there’s not a waiting list, at this point), take action NOW; groups are starting the week of SEPTEMBER 20, 2020, just in time for the Autumn Equinox! Yes, of course you can join a group after the first seven-week series ends, if the timing of the first round doesn’t work for you.
Are you wondering whether this is really for you (and/or a gifted woman in your life)? Please read on:
Do any of these situations describe you (and/or a gifted woman you know)?
You’ve always felt somehow “different” or “out of step” with most other people you encounter, but you don’t understand why.
You were “identified” as gifted when you were a schoolchild and were recommended for and/or placed in the school’s gifted program, but you think you aren’t gifted anymore—you may even think you never were; it was all a mistake.
You’ve never been formally identified as gifted, but your family, friends, or others have said that you are, or seem to think that you are.
You acknowledge that someone in your family or close circle of friends is gifted, but you don’t see that in yourself.
You’re aware and accept that you’re gifted, but aren’t sure what that really means to you in your everyday life.
You know you’re gifted, you’re basically okay with that, and your life is pretty good, in general. But……you think it sure would be wonderful to have a place where you can have meaningful conversation and just be yourself–INTENSE, SENSITIVE, QUIRKY, PASSIONATELY CURIOUS, PLAYFULLY IMAGINATIVE–without fear of being “too much” for the people you’re with… without feeling like you have to dial it back or tone yourself down so you don’t put people off or make them feel uncomfortable!
In The BISQ*Sisters’ Place, you’ll have an opportunity to explore your own experiences of life as a gifted woman and free yourself from the baggage of all of those pesky myths. Along the way, you just might make some new friends who, like you, see the world in multi-faceted ways, who are continuously curious about life, and who want to more fully discover who they are.
Sound good? Find out more here: http://misfittogreatfit.com/home-page/gifted-womens-group
I look forward to connecting with you very soon!
