We greatly enjoyed having Distinguished Toastmaster (DTM) Greg Palmer join us as a guest speaker at tonight's meeting! Some takeaways from his powerful speech:
1. Start from where you are & press forward.
2. Clear & effective communication is key.
3. Confidence (not arrogance) is essential.
4. Don't take yourself too seriously.
5. Storytelling is the secret sauce.

Village Speakers is saddened to announce the passing of one of our longest serving members, Ms. Daphne Delk. Daphne was very involved in Village Speakers for years and was a major contributor to the club's success and longevity.
In addition to her involvement in Toastmasters, Daphne was known in the community as one of the first black students to integrate Marietta High School in 1964 when she entered the 10th grade. Inspired by a desire to show her peers what was possible, she bravely blazed a trail for others.
Daphne will be greatly missed by Village Speakers Toastmasters and the community as a whole. We ask for positive thoughts and prayers for her friends and family members at this time.

We’re not all work and no play at Village Speakers! We like to have fun together outside of meetings. A few of our members were recently able to check out some jazz tunes at Red Light Cafe.

On behalf of the Village Speakers Toastmasters club, we would like to congratulate 2 of our newest members Kala Brooks, and Sulieman Wazeerud-Din on the profound accomplishment of completing their first Ice Breaker speech. Great job guys! We can’t wait to see what’s next from each of you!
