During our Youth as Changemakers showcase, our 4th grade geniuses at West presented their custom cereal boxes dedicated to influential Black Changemakers. From the ‘Front of the Box’ portraits to the ‘Nutrition Facts’ (filled with life achievements and milestones), these young historians did an incredible job honoring the past while building the future.
They used their driving question- How can we use ideas from Black inventors to solve problems in our community?- to choose their Changemaker.

Welcome to Women’s Wednesday! Every Wednesday during the month of March, we will highlight the incredible women that we get to have as part of our Kindezi family.
They are the visionaries, the nurturers, and the powerhouses who make our schools feel like home. This Women’s History Month, we’re giving them their flowers for the magic they bring to our halls every single day. 💐
Drop a comment below to shout out a Kindezi woman who inspires you and come back next week for more!
Black History Month was filled with so many genius awakening opportunities, and there’s no way we’d fit it all in one post.
At O4W, the Black History program showed our graduate profile aims in action. From being self-confident and self-loving to demonstrating what a leader looks like, our geniuses informed and entertained in such a powerful way.

Fridays are for professional learning! Today, our O4W staff took a field experience to the Jackson Street Bridge, learning about the history, expansion and improvements. This hands on experience reminded us that we live in a city that’s so rich in history and, activities like this can be used in the classroom with our geniuses.
