In 2010 we began producing documentary films inside of
New York City Public Schools. To this day, CWK continues to share the original stories of communities, organizations, and individuals dedicated to enhancing the overall development and well-being of students and families.

This marked a significant expansion and commitment to amplify the voices of adults and kids at the forefront of positive change in educational communities and to tell the success stories of underserved students and families.

We are very excited to be producing and editing the My Brother’s Keeper feature documentary out of New York!

In 2014, former President Barack Obama established the My Brother’s Keeper (MBK) Alliance at the federal level. An interagency effort focused on closing and eliminating the opportunity gaps faced by boys and young men of color so that all young people have the chance to reach their full potential.

With the adoption of the 2016-2017 New York State Budget, New York became the first state to accept the President’s challenge and enacted into law the My Brother’s Keeper initiative. The budget included a $20 million investment in support of the initiative to improve outcomes for boys and young men of color.
