We are a few weeks into summer break, which means our summer interns have been hard at work! Veronika ('26), Sofia ('26), and Mateo ('25) have been interning at Ermi, an organization that creates cutting-edge medical devices, and provides expert medical support for people to return to an active lifestyle. The three have been machining parts for devices that athletes may use in their rehabilitation. Veronika, who is especially interested in mechanical engineering in the aerospace industry, shared that this experience aligns with her STEAM ambitions. Ermi is also a valuable partner with AIS IHOT Robotics, as they help the team machine custom parts for their competitions. We wish all of our interns out and about across the Atlanta area all the best and thank our internship hosts for making these excellent experiences possible.

Wishing everyone a Happy Juneteenth!

Thank you to our incredible author, John Schu, for taking the time to visit our Eagle readers this morning! The writer of such titles as "This Is School" and "Louder Than Hunger" is also a librarian and part-time lecturer at Rutgers University. John opened up about some of the challenges he faced growing up and how he found love and connection in books. We know our young readers were thrilled to share their love for reading with John and are immensely grateful for the books he delivered to them.

Congratulations to our Varsity Boys Soccer Team for winning the GHSA State Championship in a thrilling 2-0 win over our rival, Paideia! This championship title marks the second in the last five years with four straight finals appearances in that same time. We are so proud of our Eagles' historic achievement.

Stay tuned for more exciting Eagles athletics as a number of our varsity track and field athletes and varsity girls tennis compete in their respective championships later this week. We are also looking ahead to next year as our Athletics Physical Day, in partnership with Atlanta Urgent Care, is happening next week, on May 15, and our JV and varsity volleyball team tryouts will be held on May 16 and 17.

Go Eagles!
