Come one, come all! Last night it was time for our annual Eagle cardboard Arcade 🎟️ 🌟
Guests played games designed and built by our students using cardboard and recycled materials that bring science concepts to life through play. From gravity and force of motion, levers, and energy, each game challenged visitors to think, experiment, all while earning tickets and winning prizes.
A special demonstration from our world-qualifying iHOT Robotics team made the event unforgettable.
The arcade showcased again just how creative and curious our students are!

How did he do that?! 🔬✨
Our Grade 1 students were visited by Michael Green, also known as The Science Machine, for an exciting live science show full of experiments, “magic tricks,” and intriguing demonstrations. With student volunteers helping bring each experiment to life, students watched as concepts unfolded right in front of them — followed by an explanation of the science behind them.
By the end of the assembly, students were already saying they wanted to do science “all the time!” 💚
Thank you to The Science Machine for inspiring curiosity and a love of discovery in our young learners.

If you’re looking for a school rooted in languages, inquiry, hands-on learning, and, of course, play, we invite you to discover the Early Learning Center (ELC) at AIS. 💙✨
In the ELC, students learn through the International Baccalaureate Primary Years Program in a warm and immersive learning environment, becoming part of our welcoming global community in Atlanta. With Chinese, French, German, and Spanish options, taught by first language Early Years teachers, the ELC offers a uniquely enriching environment in Atlanta.
Join us for our 3K-5K Admissions session on Thursday, May 28th, from 5:30-7.:30 pm to learn more about our program and options to join AIS in August 2026. You will meet our community, and explore what makes AIS the perfect start for your student. Register now with the link in our bio.

Last week, our Middle School students brought energy and spirit to House Field Day—where every point counted toward the final House Cup of the school year. As part of the ongoing house competition, students went head-to-head in challenges like tug of war, the water bucket relay, and the hula hoop challenge.
It was close, competitive, and loud (in the best possible way). Congratulations to team Everest 🐆 who came out on top (against competing houses Pacific 🦈, Amazon 🐍, and Sahara 🦂), earning field day bragging rights and the House Cup! 🏆

🌎💚 For Earth Day, our Grade 6 students took part in a hands-on project that connected caring for the planet with caring for our community. After planting impatiens, decorating terracotta pots, and writing Earth Day-inspired messages, a small group delivered their creations to residents at Campbell-Stone Residential Home—bringing smiles, joy, and meaningful connection along the way. 🌱🌼

A constellation of middle school stars lit up the stage last weekend in The Miraculous Journey of Edward Tulane .✨
From a lonely china rabbit to a heart full of love, Edward’s journey carried us through loss, hope, and discovery, all brought to life by our incredible Grades 6–8 performers. Live music added to the magic, including harmonica 👏.
With so many characters along the way, this was truly an ensemble effort, giving so many students the chance to take on meaningful roles and shine on stage.
We are so proud of this cast and crew for this performance.

Workin’ at the bike (and scooter!) wash 🎵🚲
At ELC Bike Day, our youngest Eagles practiced the rules of the road, and had a blast doing it! From following street signs they created in class to learning how to care for their bikes, every moment was full of discovery.
Whether making a pit stop at the “gas station,” the bike wash, or fine-tuning at the repair shop, students explored independence through play.
It may not be time to hit the real road yet—but they’re already on the right path!

Through his powerful story of living with Tourette syndrome, Brad inspired our students to embrace neurodiversity, lead with positivity, and recognize the strength in different ways of thinking. He reminded us all that each of us has the power to make a difference—you can be the one person who changes someone’s life for the better.
At AIS, inclusion is not just a moment—it’s a part of who we are as a global community, where we work hard to ensure that every learner is seen, supported, and empowered to thrive.
