The Design Sessions

I updated these tables to desk for my grandson to use for virtual school.

Last year I started the journey of updating my grandsons bathroom. I tore out tile, took out old vinyl flooring, had the tub taken out and had the plumbing moved around. It was a lot of work to be done, since most of the work was done by me (except the plumbing and tub destruction and installation). I put in new flooring, wainscot, chair rail and tub surround tile. I can now say it is getting completed. Here are a few pictures of the progress. I will showcase the finish product, once it is complete.

I stumbled across these two beautifully handcrafted and hand-painted elephant accent tables the other day at and had to have them!... They are made from mango wood and definitely make a statement! I can't wait to incorporate them into a room design.

I made a custom bookshelf that doubled as additional tabletop space for an office.

Reupholstered a chair with African mudcloth.... It is so beautiful now 💖.

On November 20th, I purchased a nice little fixer upper home on the outskirts of Atlanta. I will be documenting my progress on a blog entitled The Design Sessions. I wanted something that I could look back on and see the progress that I have made over time. I don't have a large budget so this project will be broken up into stages. And, since this is my first time doing anything of this magnitude, I wanted to share my experience. Hopefully, we can learn together... Check out the logo for the blog...
