EBC brings together cadets from completely different worlds. Different cities, different countries, different cultural backgrounds, different stories of how they got here. Some grew up in The Salvation Army, while others discovered it later. Some felt called immediately, while others wrestled with it for years.
But when you arrive on campus, all of that diversity funnels into one shared purpose. You're here to be formed into officers who will bring the Gospel to the hardest places. That mission doesn't erase where you came from, but unites you in where you're going.
The bond you build here transcends geography, background, and experience. It's built on something deeper: a shared calling and a shared surrender to serve wherever you're sent.
At EBC, diversity isn't just celebrated but forged into a unified force for the Kingdom.

“To magnify your name. To never be the same. We need your holy flame. Send the fire!”🔥
Pentecost Sunday was a beautiful celebration of the EBC family. As we gathered for our final campus worship day, we took time to reflect on God’s faithfulness across every season of life and ministry. From a baby dedication, to celebrating our graduates, and honoring our farewelling officers, it was a day filled with gratitude, legacy, and love.
We celebrate all that God has done and look forward with expectation to what is ahead!

As our first-year cadets prepare for their summer assignments, we invite you to lift them up in prayer.
Pray that they would go with boldness, humility, and open hearts, ready to follow wherever God leads and to reflect Christ in every moment. May this summer be a season of deep growth, both in their own lives and in the lives they are called to serve.
🙏 Join us in praying for the Proclaimers of Transformation this week.

One of the richest things about The Salvation Army is its culture. Culture is how we do things, a way of operating that emerges from history and synchronizes with innovation.
When you become a Salvation Army officer, you join a cultural wealth that reflects ingenuity and creativity. The symbolism is part of it, like the crest Captain William H. Ebdon designed in 1878 as wearable theology. But the culture goes deeper. Brass bands marching through streets. The holistic vision of "soup, soap, and salvation." Creative problem-solving that officers bring to the hardest places.
Serving God as a Salvation Army officer is creative work.
When you pin this to your uniform, you're wearing a declaration. And you're joining 161 years of gospel innovation.
EBC forms you into that culture. Explore training at EBC

Most people approach calling like it's a mystery God is hiding from them. But what if He's already been revealing it to you your entire life, and you just haven't looked at the pattern?
Life Mapping is a discernment exercise where you document the significant moments of your life, not just the highlights but the heartbreaks too. Then you organize it all chronologically and step back to look for the common threads.
Here's what emerges: the place your heart consistently breaks for, the themes that show up across different seasons, the patterns you didn't see when you were in the middle of them. Sometimes the shape of your sin and brokenness becomes a clue to your healing and redemption. Sometimes what felt like wasted pain was God laying a sovereign foundation you couldn't see yet.
The exercise isn't meant to tell you exactly which corps you'll serve in. It's meant to help you see your general calling before you stress about the specific one. When you do this work, your story starts to make sense.
At EBC, cadets are learning to read their lives this way and trust that God doesn't waste anything.
If you're discerning a call to officership, talk to your corps officer about attending a 730 Weekend.
