📸A week ago today, we welcomed guests to Visitor's Day, offering a firsthand look at our engaging summer learning program serving rising 1st through 9th graders.

We were honored to host former Georgia Tech president G.P. "Bud" Peterson, Horizons Board members, Ann Marie Bedtke from Horizons Atlanta, and Lizanne DeStefano, executive director of the Center for Education Integrating Science Math and Computing (CEISMC), among others.

Since our first summer in 2013, Horizons at Georgia Tech has been a cornerstone of our K-12 outreach—providing hands-on, project-based learning that supports students’ academic and personal growth.

The program’s continued success has been supported by the leadership and dedication of many, including Sirocus Barnes, who helped shape its foundation; Ebony Minter, who now leads as program director; Shameka Williams, who serves as the academic coordinator as well as a program director with CEISMC's school and community engagement team; and all the Horizons teachers and program staff who bring this mission to life--for the scholars and their families we serve, creating opportunities for academic achievement, social-emotional development, and community connection.

Together, they exemplify the collaborative spirit that drives Horizons at Georgia Tech forward to grow and thrive. 🤩
