Organization of Latin American Students − GGC

A student driven organization that brings Latin American culture into the GGC community! OLAS’ faculty advisor is Dr. Richard Rawls.

The Organization of Latin American Students (OLAS), was created close after the establishment of GGC with the hope of promoting cultural and educational achievements of Latin-American students. The main goals of OLAS are to recruit Latino students to GGC and educate GGC students, faculty, and staff on Hispanic culture. OLAS accomplishes this by community outreach and partnerships with local busine

sses and organizations while allowing students to learn leadership skills and social responsibility. OLAS is open to any and all GGC students who have a minimum of a 2.5 GPA. The current officers of OLAS are: Esteban Gonzalez (President), Christian Ruiz (Vice-President), Esmeralda Trevino (Treasurer), Shirley Rosales (Secretary), and Monica Sandoval (Public Relations Manager).
