This month's writing prompt is all about celebrating the body in motion!

​Use these three poetry ideas to introduce and explore fitness movements and exercises:

​1. The Haiku (Focus: The Yoga Tree Pose) 🙆🏽
​A 5-7-5 syllable structure focusing on a single moment.

​Rooted in the floor,
One leg climbs to find its home,
Still like a tall pine.

​2. The Acrostic (Focus: SQUAT) 🏋🏽
​Where the first letter of each line spells out the movement.

​Sinking down low to the ground,
Quiet power in the heels,
Upward drive with every breath,
Always keeping posture straight,
Thighs are burning, feeling strong.

​3. The Free Verse (Focus: The Sprint) 🏃🏾‍♀️
​No set rhythm or rhyme—just raw energy.

​The whistle blows,
gravel crunches under rubber soles.
Lungs burning like a summer furnace,
the finish line is a magnet
pulling me through the wind
until the world is just a blur of green and gold.
