We are excited to be partnering with Alzheimer’s Ghana! This partnership grew out of my role as Director of our Ghana study abroad. We’re motivated by the legacy of their founder, Esther Dey, who passed away last fall. She was a relentless Alzheimer’s advocate!
Dr. Tiffany Washington was awarded the Global Research Collaboration Grant program sponsored by the Office of Research and the Office of Global Engagement for her project, Alzheimer’s Disease in Ghana: The Experience of Family Caregivers. Dr. Washington has served as the Director of the Interdisciplinary Study Abroad Program in Ghana Program since 2018. Under her leadership, she has cultivated a relationship with Alzheimer’s Ghana, and they will serve as partners in this exciting research endeavor.
