Its that time of year again! Parent/Teacher conferences are coming up.

What are some ways you can maximize your time with your child's teacher, especially when there are set times? Easy! Here are a few tips and tricks that come directly from the professionals.

1. Schedule your conference LAST! Yes, you heard right! Teachers don't have to rush you away because their next appointment is coming in.
2. Come prepared! Make a list of questions or talking points to drive the conversation. Teachers do this days before the conference, so it is a good idea to do so as well.
3. Bring suggestions about how to work with your child. Each child is unique and who knows them better than you!? This will ultimately help your child in the long run.
4. Be a team player! You, your child, and your child's teacher all should work together to ensure your child's success. The most unproductive, damaging thing you can do is make the teacher your enemy!
