Also, Election Day is 20 days away, not that we're counting down or anything 😉😉

Le Bébé will be one in a few short weeks! 🥺Ready for some ? No one ever comes even close to telling you the real deal of the first year. It is hard, like the hardest year there can possibly be (let's not even top it with a pandemic). The funny thing is you really do actually forget exactly how incredibly difficult it is. Nature gets the last laugh on that one. Alas, as all aspects of parenting, this milestone is the literal definition of bittersweet.

Things I will miss:
- Tiny baby moments like sweet coos, itty bitty onesies, a teeny babe sleeping on your chest
- The sweetest nursing moments
- Witnessing those amazing moments when you watch "the lights come on"

Things I will not miss:
- Clocking EXACTLY when I had that glass of wine
- Not wearing earrings for fear of imminent earlobe loss. Can't wait to wear all the hoops again, like these beauties from 😍✨
- Did I mention that thing about the wine??

Hard working, multi-tasking, spaces in the age of Covid demand more (and still pretty) storage. Remembering that one time two Septembers ago when Real Simple featured one of my favorite pieces in my home.

So much of my inspiration comes from travel. While dancing around the world is off the table, it has allowed my other sensibilities to strengthen. Inspiration has come from some unexpected places. I am still utterly shocked at the joy I have found in making dinner for my family EVERY SINGLE #@ #@%$ # day. 😳No, but really, it has been a surprising joy and all of us look forward to it. My 5 year old even says I’m better than his favorite restaurant now! If that isn't the greatest accolade, then idk what is!
