You gotta look like you feel in the inside. Today, I had to go into the schools and spread the joy and love I’m feeling right now. Learn to protect happiness at all cost. You’re worth it!

There are so many emotions I feel as I share this honor. I am humbled to have been selected as this year’s Shine Push for Change Leader of the Year. To be on the same honoree list as Hank Stewart Poet, Deana Holiday Ingraham, Young Dro and Aprille Moore is beyond words. Thank you McDonalds and Colnith Anthony Brown for bestowing this honor. Today was TRULY a joyous occasion. I experienced my first graduation as the Supt/ED and my friend Nikema Williams spoke life into our scholars. I couldn’t ask for a better day!

Sometimes you need to just thank God for grace and favor. Your worth is not in rejection but in the recovery!
