It is 2023 and we have resolved, promised, and pledge to get better, do better, and be better. Many a years have started with this same enthusiasm, commitment, and hope. However, life challenges, personal habits, and deep rooted fears knocked us off the path. If we only had someone or some resource that was on our side, dedicated to our success despite ourselves, we would have finished what we started, achieved our goals, and actualized our dreams.

Thursday we REFLECT, today I reflect SIFT. SIFT go through, sort, or separate what is useful or valuable.

SIFT shake through a sieve breaking up lumps. SIFT sort through finding gold. SIFT washing and draining leaving a clean product.

SIFT truth from lies. SIFT who am I, what am I, what’s my purpose. SIFT get with this or get with that. SIFT human emotions and needs for deeper empathetic connection.

Today I reflect SIFT. SIFT (Stop, Investigate, Find better, Trace). Stop and breathe, get out of your feelings, and assess the situation. Investigate points of origin, who, motives, and benefits. Find better ways, people, opportunities, beliefs, systems, organizations, processes, and self awareness. Trace lines of connections, follow the money, connect emotions and feelings to needs. SIFT through to get to the good stuff.

Wednesday we welcome. Today I welcome VESSEL. VESSEL a container, large watercraft, or person that is used to hold, transport, or represent; material, qualities, or characteristics.

VESSEL created to fulfill purpose. VESSEL travels forth delivering messages, treasures, hope and life through storms, mistreatment, misunderstanding, and misuse. VESSEL a conduit which positive energy flows. VESSEL resource and refuge.

VESSEL why they keep asking me, isn’t there someone else. VESSEL y’all gettin’ on my last nerve. VESSEL when will I get a break. VESSEL where can I go, who can I ask when I need.

VESSEL water can, cargo ship, book, idea, or belief system; still and waiting its Creator’s hand. VESSEL filled for distribution, not storage. Today I welcome VESSEL. VESSEL water can created to tend the garden.

Monday is for Thankfulness. I am thankful for SADNESS.
SADNESS expressing grief or unhappiness.

I am saddened by the passing of David A. Arnold. I had the pleasure of meeting this comic genius at comedy show in Dallas. He stopped what he was doing to chop it up, take a few pics, and share his wisdom. He believed in writing and letting others shine. As you can see, I have and am applying the wisdom he blessed me with. Thank you David A. Arnold for remaining grounded and sharing with me. You are missed !

Tuesday we discuss. Today we discuss LABELS. LABELS evaluation, judgement, and naming, used for comfort or acceptance by the labeler.

LABELS external manifestations of internal struggles of the labeler. LABELS expression of value and treatment of others. LABELS influences self esteem of the labeled. LABELS dismissive and dehumanizing.

LABELS judgmental; that’s stupid. LABELS non sympathetic and non empathetic; I don’t care about … LABELS differences not allowed; you’re weird. LABELS prejudices and ignorance; that’s how … are.

LABELS internalized and misbelieved by the labeled. LABELS feeds illusions of power and control of the labeler. LABELS create and stabilizes systems of oppression, alienation, or exclusion. LABELS deny’s … Today I discuss LABELS. LABELS justify fear and remaining unchanged. LABELS consciously and subconsciously taught. LABELS the embodiment of Cain that killed “ABLE”, not “ABEL”.

Friday we CELEBRATE ! Today I celebrate RESET. RESET position for a new start, new beginnings, new birth.

RESET the culmination of burnout, crash, zeroing, and overwhelmed. RESET applying what you have experienced in new ways. RESET learned better and does better. RESET sees what is ahead, bobs instead of weaving avoiding a knockout.

RESET I got this. RESET I won’t make that mistake again. RESET now I know what to do. RESET I never thought of that. RESET nobody ever told me that. RESET enlightened with new perspectives. RESET experience epiphanies.

RESET expand new knowledge. RESET explore new territories. RESET test new theories. RESET employ new techniques. Today I celebrate RESET. RESET start anew. RESET be born again. RESET not redo or restart, but reinvention, reinvigoration, realignment, and reengagement.

Thursday we REFLECT, today I reflect OVERWHELMED. OVERWHELMED bombard by superior force or numbers, overpower in thought or feeling.

OVERWHELMED feeling or state of mind while zeroing. OVERWHELMED more you carry, more is dumped on you. OVERWHELMED more you do, more given for you to do. OVERWHELMED goals and dreams at your finger tips, you get yanked back.

OVERWHELMED putting 10 pounds of crap in a 5 pound bag. OVERWHELMED standing up with words of encouragement and support “We got your back”, the words travel with you while everyone stays home. OVERWHELMED being 6 feet tall, standing in 7 feet of water.

Today I reflect OVERWHELMED. OVERWHELMED moment, situation, or circumstance experienced by all. OVERWHELMED brutal challenges, hard freeing truths, exposed vulnerability. OVERWHELMED the deep rooted tree standing after storms have come and gone.

ZEROING return to center point, beginning, or level ground after crash. ZEROING grounding to reset, refocus, or redirect. ZEROING determines a new direction, get your bearings. ZEROING brush yourself off, shake it out, get your head together, clean up, or clean out.

ZEROING oasis in the desert, eye of the storm. ZEROING prepares for new birth. ZEROING realization of where you are, where you want to be, and how to get there. ZEROING enables self forgiveness and atonement. ZEROING sets the stage for a comeback.

ZEROING aligns axis for path of greatness. ZEROING catalyst for determination, intensity, and energy. I welcome ZEROING. ZEROING downward trend or trajectory turning upward. ZEROING takes you from down and out, to up and in.

Tuesday we discuss. Today we discuss CRASH. CRASH break, go to pieces, to decline suddenly and steeply.

CRASH not heeding the warning of burnout. CRASH feeling broken, unworthy, unable, incapable. CRASH lifeless with no desire to try, stand, or fight. CRASH judgement of others define you. CRASH living destructively.

CRASH despite best efforts, things keep going wrong. CRASH no longer knows self. CRASH not forgiving ourselves or allowing ourselves to let go. CRASH not engaging in the upgrade, change, or increase prayed for and received.

CRASH introspection exponentially defining all that follows. CRASH determining whether to get up or stay down. CRASH show true resolve and know you can be. CRASH wily as the coyote how gets up after every fall; innovates, reinvents, and lives the genius that is he.
