Keeping children busy during winter break can be a challenge. Especially for parents that work from home.
Here’s a few ways to occupy your child’s time without requiring your full attention:
1. Playroom Makeover
This is an activity you can do with your children or give them the opportunity to do themselves. Let them redefine their play space as it will make them more prone to actually use it.
2. Assign science experiments. The average household has tons of items laying around that students can use to carry out safe science experiments. Check out sciencebuddies.org. For tailored experiments that fit your child’s age group and supply level.
3. Assign build challenges. There’s nothing more challenging than building a sturdy structure out of specific materials such as only cardboard or only blocks or only play-dough. Encourage your child to use their imagination!
Lastly, give your child a virtual play date. Click the link in our profile to sign them up and we’ll keep them busy for 3.7 hours!! You’ve got this!! Happy Holidays!! 🙌🏽🌲
