Inspired by seeing abstract photographs, I created this image of an overhead light fixture, close up and then inverted the colors to get the shades of blue.

When the weather gets rainy, you can capture the umbrellas, puddles and drips -- from a dry vantage point. This is looking up at a glass overhang at Atlanta's High Museum of Art, while waiting out a downpour.

This robin landed on a railing, and I thought it had a beak full of nesting material. But the "material" was dinner, still wiggling!

Using the close-up focus settings of camera, I was able to capture the texture of these stacked window panes, as well as the lovely color.

Controlling the shutter speed to 3/10ths of a second made it possible to convey the flowing water at Sweetwater Creek State Park.
