As a early teenager I participated heavily in the Pentecostal church and I loved it. I got to learn leadership, craft Sunday messages and use my intuitive gifts such as seeing spirits, and prophecy without it deemed as weird. I felt comfortable to be myself. Until the pressures of being a preachers daughter got to me.

At 19 I left the church to challenge my thinking when it came to my spiritual connection with my creator. On my self exploration journey I found Numerology.It the teaching on how numbers combined or singular hold a vibration and is power more than we may think.

Were you able to take any time out for yourself?

Look I understand; life responsibilites can make a day go by very quickly.Before you know it the day has gone.

In a world that requires so much of us there has to be a balance somewhere right?

That balance is created and initiated by you. Rest, stillness is a remedy for the inner questions we may have but yet everything else is put on the top of the list leaving ourselves last.

It doesn't have to be this way foreal. If it's been a tiring day welcome rest and reflection.

As a black woman in America it is encouraged to do all the things.
Be strong ; work multiple jobs ; carry babies/deliver babies ; nurture ourselves and give to others.

This can be tiring fo sure.
Within the past months I’ve be making conscious effort to fill my emotional , spiritual glass with good positive ppl , ideas and environments.

In the most recent episode on the podcast; I share after a year of coaching 1:1 clients I’m choosing to guide the millennial black woman back to herself to make herself a priority so she can finally see herself as the divine woman she was created to be .

As a previous people pleaser I believed receiving love, attention, and praise from others was the ultimate prize one could receive.

I'd fill my time with people that didn't fulfill me but felt good (𝘤𝘩𝘪𝘭𝘥𝘩𝘰𝘰𝘥 𝘵𝘳𝘢𝘶𝘮𝘢 𝘩𝘢𝘣𝘪𝘵..)
I believed it felt better to self sacrifice myself to make others feel good rather than paying attention to how I felt inside.

When I became a mom; life showed me a different perspective of love I never seen before not only for my child but for me.

I realized that love, attention and praise I'd crave from others I needed to give myself.Yet I had no idea what that looked like or to experience this.

Time and time I'd deny myself of things due to feeling I didn't deserve them or I needed someone to validate it for me.

The first and important love is of oneself.
Understanding and welcoming this type of love can be powerful, peaceful, and rewarding internally and strong enough to change your life.

Nowadays I see myself a lot clearer and able to look in the mirror without looking away. I'm choosing to give myself the things I intuitively need rather than seeking else where. I don't have to come last anymore. I don't believe you should either.

This is why I chose to create the 𝗣𝗲𝗮𝗰𝗲 𝗢𝘃𝗲𝗿 𝗘𝘃𝗲𝗿𝘆𝘁𝗵𝗶𝗻𝗴 𝗪𝗼𝗿𝗸𝘀𝗵𝗼𝗽. A workshop for the recovering people pleaser, the tired and overwhelmed 9-5 millennial black woman who wants to receive and benefit for all the work she has put into others to finally make herself a priority.

It’s been a while; more like 5 months since I’ve posted anything.

Talk about hurting engagement 🤕. I can hear entrepreneur gurus yelling consistency in the back of my mind.
The reality is one woman runs everything over here at Delia Divine from the posts,coaching,podcast recordings not to mention the backend of things no one sees.

No lie it can get quite exhausting and pressure to keep up with ever evolving social media.

Now a single mother;can take a toll mixing with entrepreneurship growth/hurdles

In my absence past clients and the social fam has reached out and I’m grateful for community that reminded me how much our sessions/ content impacted them.

Nevertheless my purpose always finds ways to remind me of the work that needs to done and continue where I stopped before life got real.

All these changes were 𝙪𝙣𝙘𝙤𝙢𝙛𝙤𝙧𝙩𝙖𝙗𝙡𝙚 in many ways but yet they were all necessary to gain 𝙘𝙡𝙖𝙧𝙞𝙩𝙮 𝙖𝙣𝙙 𝙘𝙤𝙣𝙛𝙞𝙙𝙚𝙣𝙘𝙚 where life is going for me.With each thing that has changed I've learned more about myself in more ways I can count.
