Excited to share, I will be on the Brooks Run Happy team for the first time in 2023 ππ»π I would like to use my time with the team to promote running for fitness, mental health and fun for everybody, regardless of age, ability, race or gender π Whether you are running a marathon or walking for two minutes and jogging for 30 second intervals, you are a runner. I started running in my late 40s to help with the stress of working in healthcare the last few years. When I turned 50 in 2022 I decided to run my first race ever and ran several 5ks. I found a wonderful and diverse running community here in Jacksonville, Florida with intense competition, and also people walking, with everyone out there, getting it done and having a great time πͺ I managed to place a few times and win my age group once, and I was hooked! Already training and signed up to race in 2023. My goal is to race 10k by the end of the year π Thank you to Brooks Running for welcoming me to the team, and looking forward to representing and bringing you my take on some great Brooks gear! Excited for the 2023 season π

Great Wednesday morning workout session in the park with my mobile setup πͺ progressing my client with some HIIT warmup. Balance training with some new moves. Core workout with a new set added. Total body resistance with KB, dumbbells, and some balance and stability. Active and dynamic flexibility with some yoga moves added. Finishing with breath work. Proud seeing all the progress they have made π

Adding some new balance training sets to my total body workout. One leg kettlebell lift and chop.

Spent a week having some adventures out west in Utah and Colorado. Back at sea level feeling refreshed and recharged. Good for the mind and body to get away and test your limits regularly.

Core circuit training part of my workout. Getting a full deep and global core workout. Burning fat and getting cardio with circuit style training. Hit all these sets before resting, then repeat.
Ball bridge x 20, with weight optional
Ball crunch x 20
Ball cobra x 20 with dumbbells optional
Ball plank x 1 minute
Side plank x 30 seconds each side
Fire hydrant x 20 each side
Pallof press x 20 each side
Short rest, hydrate, repeat
Dynamic flexibility warm up sets. Lunge with weighted rotation. Getting a deep core stretch, and getting muscles ready for resistance training.
