It was 14years ago from today that I lost my big sister. I can remember when we were really young, you would let me lay on your lap in the backseat. I would tell you to rub my ears. It would put me to sleep. My sister was about 2yrs older than me. She was my protector, chef, teacher, punisher, and friend.
When you lose someone that is really close to you, you never fully heal. I’ve never been the same since you left us. I think about you all the time. Sometimes the emotions just take over and the tears pour down my face. I probably will never be the same. But I am okay with that. I never want to lose the emotions that I have for you. If that means living my life with a bit of sadness in my heart, then I’ll do just that. I honor you in everything that I do. I’ll always be your annoying little brother.
