This Hispanic Heritage Month, we’re celebrating the incredible diversity, cultures, and stories that make up Atlanta’s Spanish-speaking community.

Meet Pablo, originally from Costa Rica 🇨🇷 and currently pursuing his doctorate here in the United States. 🎓

We sat down with him to hear about his journey to Atlanta, what brought him here, and the focus of his doctoral studies.

And of course, we couldn’t let him go without teaching us a little Costa Rican slang! 🇨🇷😂

Language Exchange Recap 🇲🇽✨
One of our favorite things to host: Spanish ↔️ English language exchanges right here in Atlanta. 🙌

These gatherings bring together a beautiful mix of people — our students eager to practice their Spanish, native Spanish speakers who enjoy connecting with the community, and folks who’ve recently moved to Atlanta and are looking to make friends, build connections, and practice their English. Different backgrounds, different goals, one shared table.

Whether you’re just starting out or nearly fluent, you belong here. All levels are welcome — in Spanish, in English, in whatever mix feels right.
It’s always such a good reminder that language is one of the most human ways we have to connect — and watching people step outside their comfort zones, laugh through the awkward moments, and walk away with new friends never gets old.
The vibe is always relaxed and low-pressure. Float between tables, meet new people, or settle in and let a great conversation run long. There’s no wrong way to show up.

🌎 Conociendo hispanos en Atlanta 🇺🇸✨

En esta ocasión, tuvimos el placer de charlar con , originalmente de Maracaibo, Venezuela 🇻🇪

Antes de mudarse a Atlanta, vivió casi 8 años en Bogotá, Colombia 🇨🇴, y nos compartió las diferencias culturales que ha notado entre Venezuela y Colombia, además de cómo ha sido su experiencia adaptándose a la vida aquí en Atlanta.

Nos contó sobre las diferencias culturales entre Venezuela y Colombia, y cómo esas experiencias han influido en su vida aquí en Atlanta. También compartió su perspectiva sobre lo que significa adaptarse a una nueva ciudad mientras se mantiene conectada con sus raíces 💛
