Our task is to educate our children's whole being so they can face the future and make something of it. To achieve this, we need to balance education for careers with practical skills, creativity, and the confidence to think critically and solve real-world problems.

This art piece draws inspiration from the rich heritage of West and Central African mask traditions.

It was created by a student during the STEAM Through Black History Youth Workshop held on February 1, 2025 and this activity was conducted by Ashley D Paints.

One thing I want young artists and parents who want to inspire their children to remember is that art is more than color and design — it’s confidence, problem-solving, and imagination in action. The STEAM Through Black History Youth Workshop reminded us how creativity shapes how children learn, think, and dream.

Keep that spark of creativity alive beyond the workshop!

Christian STEAM: Bridging Faith and Science is designed to help students explore science, technology, engineering, art, and mathematics through hands-on learning and imagination.

Today I attended the first annual Circling the Black Dollar New Life church Business located in Decatur on Flat Shoals road. Please come out tomorrow from 9 am to 2 pm to support 62 vendors with your dollars. Our dollar only stays in iur community for 6 hours. During the time of Black Walk Street it stayed in our community for 26 days. If our community all over the world came together we would be the 7th largest country in the world. We spend 7.4Trillion dollars. Our 7.4 Trillion is used to create assets for other communities that have $24 Trillion in assets. Black vendors need you

What and inspirational, energizing and enlightening experience to spend the day with this extraordinary group of students. The students worked in groups with a STEM volunteer that helped guide them while building robots. The students strategized to over come challenges during the building process. Then the real fun began when they raced the robots, the fans cheered them on and the STEM Paparazzi took pictures. After lunch the students expressed themselves through art. AI was used to create games from a makerspace with a variety of materials. The presentations were fascinating as they talked about the design process and how to play the games. Young minds at work!!!

If the Bees Disappear… what future will our kids inherit? 🐝

This year, U.S. beekeepers reported record hive losses — over 60% in some regions. The culprit? Varroa mites that have become resistant to treatments. (siskiyou.news)

Bees aren’t just about honey. They’re about the apples in your child’s lunchbox, the flowers they pick for you, and the balance of the world God created. Losing bees means losing part of the future we want to hand down to our children.

This isn’t just a science headline — it’s a life lesson for our kids. Bees impact the food we eat, the flowers we enjoy, and even the health of our planet. That’s why Christian STEAM dedicates a full chapter to Bees, encouraging students to:

Explore why bees matter,

Discover God’s design in creation,

Try hands-on experiments (like honey tastings and planting pollinator-friendly flowers),

And most importantly, learn what they can do to make a difference.

Parents, if you want to give your child more than just facts — if you want to equip them with faith, curiosity, and real-world action — Christian STEAM is the resource you need.

🎤 Hear from inspiring STEM professionals
🍴 Share a meal and connect with peers

The energy in the room was contagious, and the ideas these young innovators brought to life reminded us why investing in STEM is so important.

Take a look at some of the highlights from the day — the future of STEM is in great hands!
