Welcome back everyone! I’m so excited for this spring semester! We’re collecting items to donate to The King Center in honor of MLK Jr Day. We’ll leave from Decatur Presbyterian Church at 11:00am on Monday, January 16th, go downtown to drop off the items, and then get lunch together afterwards. Spread the word and help us collect!
We’re here from 12:00-2:00pm today under Brooks Common!

📚 FREE BOOK UPDATE! 📚
We are excited to have ordered 13 books so far for students to help their education in anti-racism.
These students come from 4 states across the country, attend 7 different colleges and universities, and are reading 8 different titles!
We've also been so encouraged to see other campus ministries from many denominations taking up the task to get books in the hands of students who want them. We ❤️ you for your generosity and activism.
We still have funding available for many more books, so please sign up!

[FREE BOOK 📚]
UKirk Atlanta believes strongly in the work we have to do as a predominantly white ministry in a predominantly white denomination to dismantle the structures of white supremacy in and around us.
To start that intentional and hard work we are offering a free book to any student who wants to begin that work in themselves.
Education through reading is a starting point, not the end goal, but we recognize that access to these materials are difficult for many students and we want to remove those barriers.
If any college age (or highschool) person wants a book, we will get you one. Go to the form link below to request a book. We have about 30 listed as options, but you are able to request a title of your choice at the end. Participation (now or in the future) in UKirk is not a requirement to receive a book.
Thanks to the individual donors who are helping our efforts to get books in the hands of students. We appreciate you.
