My cactus wasn’t doing so well. Probably because I water it so sparingly. 🤦🏾♀️
When your cactus leans or pads fall, it could be because of two reasons. Over watering or under watering. In this case, the latter. To rehydrate it is best to water from the bottom, and hope for the best until the soil dries out.
I’m excited about propagating the pads. When you propagate cactus, you want to place them in a cool dry place until the base of the pad scabs. At that point they are ready for soil. Always use cactus soil or a mixture of soil, perlite and sand.

Are you an aspiring plant mama with a black thumb? 😂
When your plant starts showing browning tips it can mean a few things.
Plants naturally use and lose water through their tissues each day. Leaf tips turn brown when that lost water can't be replaced for some reason.
It can mean you are providing either too little or too much water to your plants. It could also mean your fertilizer is too strong and burning your plant. Check your soil for moisture, and your roots for rot or excess fertilizer in this case to diagnose your plant.
In the case of my zebra plant, it had been overwatered at the nursery. To keep the plant from exhausting itself by keeping the browning leaves alive, you can simply snip off the browning tips or leaves completely.

Water day! 💦 🌿💕😊
Water day is always fun because I get a closer look at how much my babies have flourished. I check my plants regularly with my soil meter so they don’t experience drought. 🥵 I usually take this opportunity to fertilize as well.
