โจMusic is important!โจ
There are so many reasons music should always be integrated into your learning environment but weโll just name a few:
โจMusic is therapeutic- learning and listening to music has healing properties
โจMusic is expressive- music is often a tool to help a person express the feelings they may not be able to with words
โจMusic helps with memory- have you ever made up your own song to help you memorize something? Those songs we made in class can stay in our heads for YEARS
โจMusic is fun!- just having music during the day makes it fun and interesting. It literally changes the atmosphere in a classroom or home
โจMusic is community- it brings people together! From classrooms to concerts, music brings the community together
Music education is not only important but necessary. With the decline of music teachers and departments in elementary schools, music schools like us are looking to fill the gap!

Jhene Aiko!
We don't know about you but we love Jhene's sweet, smooth and calming vocals. Jhene was born in South LA in 1988. This Japanese and African American descent singer was homeschooled through high school and made her first music appearances behind the group B2K as a "cousin" in order to garner her own audience. At this time she had a few songs on the soundtrack of Barbershop, The Master of Disguise, You Got Served, The Proud Family and Byou. She released her mixtape from her website in 2011. She soon joined DefJam and released her debut album Souled Out in 2014 that sold 70,000 copies in its opening week. She has since released multiple albums and garnered amazing success with hit singles such as "Triggered(freestyle)", "It's a Vibe", and B.S.(feat H.E.R.).
โจ๐Amazing!๐โจ

Melissa Polinar!
Melissa began her career in the rise of social media in the music industry. Seeing the industry become digitized, she began creating content on YouTube. In a time where most of the performers on Youtube were creating covers of famous songs, Melissa gained followers with her collection of originals, most notably her songs "Try," and "Meant to Be." These beautiful and soulful originals took her to the top of the Youtube charts in the early 2000's. Since then, she's collaborated with the likes of Adam Levy, India.Arie, Mark Kibble and so many more.
