The "one woman social agency" served African Americans before and during the Civil War, as well as meeting a different set of needs after Emancipation.

๐ฉ๐พโ๐ซ I was going through items today and I always knew I had these but I was reminded today that I was trained to be a financial educator as a college student at Albany State University๐๐๐. As a member of SIFE (Students in Free Enterprise) currently Enactus, I was fortunate to be a part of this training in Spring 2008. I remember as a kid saying I wanted to work either as a financial planner or accountant (I still have the magazine article about a financial planner I wrote about in 8th grade). I went on to work as a staff accountant (2009-2014) for a brief period and later received a Master's in Accounting and Financial Management in 2013 but never was able to get back into that field so I just focused on my other passions, education and writing. For years, I thought my degree was in vain because I wasn't working in Accounting not realizing that financial literacy never left me and I am an educator whether I am writing, working with K-12 students, helping the general public, or offering tips/sharing financial goals with friends. Seeing this certificate and online curriculum confirmed my ignited passion for financial literacy and helping others.

Don't let the internet streets have you thinking that the road to mastering money is perfect.
No ma'am, it's littered with mistakes, knee-jerk decisions, testing and imppementing new boundaries for what you will and won't sirens money on. And that is true for everybody. EVERBODY. I mean, how else do you learn?
Now, if your having more money problems than monet progress, it may be time to invest in some unbiased eyes to help you recalibrate your approach and that's okay too! In the same way that folks find a tutor or a wellness trainer, you're allowed to find a coach who can meet you right where you're at and guide you across the finish line of your goals.
Give yourself grace. It's a marathon of continued growth. This is not a sprint.
