ADHD affects more than just focus — it can impact sleep, emotions, routines, and everyday life.
Clinically, ADHD appears in three official presentations:
1. Hyperactive–Impulsive
Restlessness, fidgeting, acting without thinking, difficulty waiting, and “go-go-go” energy.
2. Inattentive
Trouble focusing, forgetfulness, losing things, getting distracted easily, or starting 10 tasks and finishing 0.
3. Combined Type
A mix of both inattentive and hyperactive traits (this is the most common).
🧠 But symptoms go beyond these labels
ADHD can look different in everyone.
It might show up as:
racing thoughts at night
emotional ups and downs
sensory sensitivity
time blindness
procrastination
hyperfocus
creative bursts
difficulty switching tasks
ADHD is not one-size-fits-all, and it can overlap with anxiety, mood patterns, and sensory experiences — which is why many people feel their ADHD has “flavors” or “subtypes.”
