I was just talking to someone about how I’m terrible at trivia. I used to think I was dumb because I can’t pull facts out of my head. Now I know that it’s because my brain is not like an organized filing cabinet. Mine is more like a filing cabinet that people just throw the papers in so if you want something you’ve gotta dig through all the drawers.
This may not be very comforting to some but for me, learning this and learning to accept my brain the way it is has been one of my greatest achievements. I still get frustrated from time to time but over all, I know I am really smart and just because I can’t pull facts out of my brain at will doesn’t make me less so.
Can you relate? Does this help you think about your brain differently?

When I've had a stable schedule and priorities that were set by someone else, I've used to dislike it! IT FELT TOO RESTRICTIVE. 🤯 I've dreamt of the day when I can set my own schedule and do things my way. 😊
Until that day came... And I found it a struggle to motivate myself. I'd often get stuck in decision paralysis, or feel like I couldn't move from my couch because the reality of setting up my own structures seemed too overwhelming. 😭
It took trial and error to figure out my own triggers (and ways to combat them) that usually send me down the ADHD paralysis spiral. 🌀 I've written more about these triggers on my Patreon. 😊
💬 How do you get out of a funk?
💬 Do you like to set your own schedule or prefer when it's set by someone else?

I haven’t been here in a long time. I burned out hard on social media, then I got a 9-5 job and we all know change is hard. Then, over a month ago the ADHD medication shortage finally got to me and I’ve been unable to fill my prescription. THEN my company downsized and let go of a lot of people including me. So I’m over here trying to be a single mom, look for a job and manage my spicy brain with the tools in my tool box which some days I can’t even open because it’s locked and the key is my FU***NG ADHD MEDS!!!!
Anyway, so I googled how long laundry takes so I could set a timer and not forget about it all day and actually have a shot of getting something done today. Wish me all the luck. 🧡

I have been using this instead of dryer sheets for the last week and I love it!! One of my blocks with laundry is the amount of dryer sheets I use and cleaning out the lint trap! I hate it!! Though this can’t solve my lint trap problem I have significantly less trash because of this and it makes me happy. Also, you don’t have to use dryer balls! I just spray a few spray into the dryer on my wet clothes and it works! And it hasn’t made any type of marks on my clothes! Yes, I ran a test load with the crappy towels first. Plus, it smells AMAZING! I love lemon 🍋

Autistic meltdowns!! They look so different for everyone. I used to think i didn't get them, because mine are mostly crying and hyperventilating. Before i knew i was autistic, i thought they were anxiety attacks.
How are meltdowns like for you?

Hey y’all! Some of you may have noticed that I have not been around. A few amazing changes have happened.
The first is that I accepted a role as a financial representative and I have been learning the ins and outs of that so I can help people be more financially secure.
The other change is I’ve realized I do not enjoy creating content. It’s stressful and being on social media that much makes my ADHD and anxiety much worse. I will still be here if anyone needs me and I will still post and repost things that speak to me but I will not be creating. It’s not how I express myself and it’s not what brings me joy.
My DMs are always open so please reach out. I’m still here 🧡

Despite being a common issue, for many people, Bowel problems come with a degree of shame or embarrassment.
