From 1993 to 2009 the students of Bowie High School, under the leadership of Eleanor Minor, produced some great memories and performances!

Putting together a musical is an unforgettable experience. For 17 years the students of Bowie High School (Bowie, MD) produced some great memories and performances. Friendships were made that will last for a lifetime. This page is for all the students who participated. Please take some time and look around, post a comment, add some pictures and tell us where you are now.

"Ant'shillvania" was not a Bowie High School production, but it was performed at the school's cafetorium around the year 2000 I think. The program was sponsored by BRAVA (Bowie Regional Arts Vision Association) to help raise funds for the new Bowie Center for the Performing Arts that stands today. Eleanor Minor produced it and I directed it. So many of these kids (not kids today, most have kids of their own) went on the be in many of the shows at the High school. I was going through and organizing my old photos and came across these. Hope they bring back some fun memories.

West Side Story 1993 05/06/2016

This was the first musical that Mrs. Minor produced after becoming the choir director at Bowie High. Eddie directed and I helped out with the sound because I had 9th grader daughter (Chandra) involved. I continued to help out for the next 17 years. Great times! There's only a few pics in my collection. Please add any you have them.

All Shook Up 2009 04/26/2016

I wasn't here for this one but I did help cast it. Heard great things about the show. Great music from the Elvis generation!

Joseph & the Amazing Technicolor Dreamcoat 2004 04/19/2016

This was the 2nd time we performed "Joseph" and one of our last in the Cafetorium. Great casts (we had two) and energetic fun.

HIgh School Musical 2007 04/07/2016

High School Musical was still a popular phenomina when we produced this one. We sold out nearly every show. I remember how popular it was with the pr***en crowd (especially the young girls). The pr***ens would fill all the seats on the first few rows and sing along with all the songs. Great times! TA

Peter Pan 2007-08 04/06/2016

Peter Pan was the last Production I was involved in. It was a great pleasure to see this one come together. Great cast, music, sets, costumes, and even flying. We had a lot of fun! It couldn't have happened without all those in the background and behind the scenes. And, of course, Samantha Thornhill as Peter was awesome!

Once Upon a Mattress 2006 02/25/2016

"Mattress" was a very fun and funny show. The costumes designed by Mrs. Reams were some of the best we ever had and the cast was a great team and a joy to work with. This was the second show we produced in the new center and the first with all the lighting, sound and rigging completed.

Grease 1997 02/18/2016

Grease was produced in 1997 (almost 20 years ago; can you believe it!). I loved directing the live band for this show. Very fun music! Please like, comment, tag and add photos if you have any. TA
