The Quota Mentality

The “quota mentality” in trading is a recipe for disaster. When you start telling yourself you need a certain number of trades per day, or a specific result per week you shift your mindset away from ex*****on and into pressure.

Pressure breeds emotion and emotion has no place in trading.

The moment you feel like you “have to produce”, you stop waiting for quality setups and start trying to force outcomes. You start reacting instead of executing.

But the market doesn’t owe you a quota. The market isn’t responsible for delivering opportunities on your schedule. The market is just the market.

Your job as a professional trader is to make yourself available when your setup actually appears.

So ditch the quotas and just be ready when the opportunity comes.
