About Mary Ann
I think the first time I became aware of food and its impact on me was at my Uncle Sal’s wedding. When the waiters came out with the flaming Baked Alaska’s I must have been mesmerized. I say that because the flaming dessert is all that I remember from the wedding and I am sure that it was a blast. As for the other side of food- the entertaining portion, that always seemed to be conn

Hi fellow bakers!
I think this is the best Chocolate Cookie recipe that I’ve ever made. I also love the details that the baker provides in the recipe description. My bonus is a light dipping of sea salt before making.💗

A plethora of mushrooms and Costco pork tenderloins made the dinner menu easy peasy tonight!

Thank you Paige Alcott for sending a Panettone all the way from Italy! It traveled up and down I75 during the last week as we juggled hospital visits, house guests, (Uncle Sal & Sylvia, Gene, Bonnie & Ron, Gina & John) and of course beautiful dinners. It went back and forth between Bonita Springs and Port Charlotte several times and I believe today was its 3rd trip and it was not making a 4th! This panettone with lemon curd bread pudding was beyond good, check out the photos!

Hi everyone! Yesterday was the last day of a lovely visit from our dear friends from GA so we wanted to send them home with a memorable dinner to wind down the week of good friends, good food, & good times. My special brother-in-law John from NYC and Bonita Springs, was also in FL and he showed up with pastries from DeRomo’s and that really took us over the top! It was a typical Italian marathon cooking day, starting at noon; and considering at least one rum and coke was had by the cook, it turned out pretty good.

If you have any questions about the recipes, message me. The mushrooms over polenta was intense and I think modifying it to your own creations with any similar vegetable may be the way to go. But we stuck to the recipe and it was really outstanding. (Converting the metric measurements...😛!!)
We head back to Roswell tomorrow and look forward to seeing you all!
Additional photos of some other meals we enjoyed are here as well.
