Mort Drucker was one of the greatest illustrators ever, known primarily for drawing Mad Magazine’s movie satires. Very few people also know that Mort designed a gang of fruits and vegetables who ride around on motorcycles and call themselves Health’s Angels. This is one of them, Suzy Strawberry. You can see Mort’s genius at work here, inspired by the berry’s green leaves which, pointing down, take on the appearance of a dancer’s tutu and bring to life a strawberry character who loves ballet.
