I donated the longarm quilting/binding of this quilt and my friend that makes t shirt quilts Katherine (Kat’s Quilts by Creative Hands Times 3) donated the fusing/piecing and all the fabric needed to make it. Just spent 3 days at Charlotte Teresa Plantation B&B for a quilt retreat arranged by a quilting friend.
This place was amazing.
5 bedrooms that will sleep 2 per room.
Home cooked meals.
A very spacious area for up to 10 quilters complete with an area for pressing/cutting station.
Also has a kitchen area for 24 hour snacking 😋The owners were down to earth friendly and made you feel like you were already home.
All set on a 300 acre pecan farm in a beautiful modern plantation style house.
It’s a very popular spot for weddings because of the beauty.
So get your group together and book a quilt retreat.....

The 9/11 World Trade Center Memorial Quilt is now on display in Milwaukee after bing in storage for 10 years. The names in purple are those who perished in the planes, the names in red are the first responders that perished and the names in blue are those who perished at the Pentagon. When the call was put out for quilt blocks, 20,000 people from 30 countries responded... 💪🏼🇺🇸❤️💙🖤

Precautionary info for those VINTAGE machines...but unplugging is always a good idea no matter how old your machine is. I live on top of a mountain that gets lots of lightning so I ALWAYS unplug my machines when not in use...lesson learned after my longarm was zapped once. 😳😬
