As our community has suffered an immense loss, we greatly encourage everyone to join us for our weekly meeting to lean on one another and more importantly, our loving and tender God who draws near to us. Hope to see everyone tonight!

“And let us consider how to stir up one another to love and good works, not neglecting to meet together, as is the habit of some, but encouraging one another, and all the more as you see the Day drawing near.”
Hebrews 10:24-25

On Friday evening, our beloved brother and friend, George Whittenberg went to be in His eternal home, safe with the Lord. If you knew George at all, his deep love for God was likely one of the first things you noticed about him. He made a profound impact on Cru at UGA and every single person he encountered. We find great comfort knowing that when George met Jesus on Friday night, he heard “Well done, my good and faithful servant”. To say we miss him dearly on this earth is an understatement, and yet we know that he is in a far better place. We do not grieve as those who have no hope, but we grieve with hope knowing one day we will see George again in fellowship unbroken for all of eternity. Jesus, hold us until that day.

“And I heard a loud voice from the throne saying, “Behold, the dwelling place of God is with man. He will dwell with them, and they will be his people, and God himself will be with them as their God. He will wipe away every tear from their eyes, and death shall be no more, neither shall there be mourning, nor crying, nor pain anymore, for the former things have passed away.” And he who was seated on the throne said, “Behold, I am making all things new.” Also he said, “Write this down, for these words are trustworthy and true.””
