Summer may take us to different places, but our values remain the same. Through internships, research, study abroad experiences, and leadership opportunities, our Executive Board continues to represent the mission of BMLS through growth, excellence, and service. At BMLS, we believe leadership is not confined to a title or a campus, but is reflected in how we challenge ourselves, embrace new experiences, and create impact wherever we go.

This Memorial Day, we honor the courage, resilience, and patriotism of all who have served, especially the untold stories of Black veterans.
Their dedication to a country that often didn’t honor them back is a legacy we strive to uphold. We salute their service and remember their sacrifice. From the Tuskegee Airmen to the Lovely ladies of the 6888th Battalion, we honor our veterans and our heritage.

Huge congratulations to our Black Male Leadership Society graduates: Corey Straughter, Jared Harris, and Grady Taylor are UGA Graduates! 🎓🐾These three men have displayed excellence throughout their time in BMLS and will continue that sustained achievement in the field. We appreciate them and they will always be apart of our legacy. Congrats gentlemen and GO DAWGS!!

Behind every leader in this society is a woman who saw our potential when it was just a seed.

Happy Mother’s Day to our mothers, grandmothers, and maternal figures. Thank you for the sacrifices made in silence and the prayers that carried us when we couldn’t carry ourselves. We honor you today and every day.

On April 9th, The Black Male Leadership Society hosted its annual pinning ceremony to recognize members hard work and dedication to the organization. We also want to shoutout out one of our very own BMLS First Year Councilmen Bryce Anderson for receiving the Betty K. Wilson Scholarship Award, which is awarded to students that display academic excellence as part of The Black Male Leadership Society. Congratulations Bryce!!
