167.

167 of you took the extra time out of your day. After standing in line for (possibly) hours.

It takes a special kind of person to take this extra step when in the booth and 167 of you did that for me (there might be some other names in that category, but I’m counting them as me for today).

Thank you to each and every one of you for the love and support you’ve given me.

Just know, I’ll be at the meetings regardless, and I’ll be on the ballot next time.

What a surreal experience voting today. For the first time I was voting for myself in an election.

I know I was late and it is a long shot as a write-in candidate, but I truly appreciate the groundswell of support from our friends and family.

Whatever happens, it was meant to be. And I’ll be on the ballot the next time. (Incumbent or Nominee)

Promise.

Hey there team and supporters. I wanted to first, thank everyone for their efforts so far in raising awareness for my run as a Write-in-Candidate.

The love and support has been amazing to be a part of.

Just 2 days left until Election Day. Be sure to flip that ballot over and take the time to write me in. Be sure to check your spelling!

In the meantime, I wanted to share something. During this time, I have been asked, “Why are you running.”

My best answer has been, I don’t know what I don’t know. But what I do know is that the school board needs some fresh perspective.

There is a disconnect between what the kids and schools need and what this community sees that the Board is going.

Clear and open communication is essential to understanding everyone’s needs and what those that are in power to help can actually do about it.

A vote for me is a vote for you. Let’s make this happen!

In person voting on November 5th!

I’m excited to represent you, the kids, and the community on the school board.

Busy a quick reminder to those filling out your early ballots. Take a look at the School Board section and write me in!

Your local elected officials impact more of your day to day than those at the top of the ticket.

This isn’t just something to fill out, this choice can help shape your kids’ experience in the schools and what kind of person they can be!

I’m out here at the Athens Home Coming game helping in the concessions. Stop by and see me if and let’s talk about what changes you need to see in the school board.

Just thinking about what is important to me and what I can bring to the table for the election and our Board of Education…

1: There has to be honest and open dialogue between the school system and parents.

2: The children’s safety and education are paramount.

3: Extracurriculars are important.

4: Arts are important.

5: Parents have to be a part of their children’s learning for our teachers to be the MOST effective they can be.

I know I’m late to the party, but it is never too late to do what’s right.

As a Father of two and an active member of the community, I have been passive in my support of the lives and community I have grown to truly appreciate.

Now is the time for me to take a more active stance and announce my intent to be your write-in choice for the Athens Area School Board.

I want to work with other parents, teachers, and administrators to help all students reach their potential.

Education and the support from the community is essential to all children’s growth and our’s deserve the best possible.

With your ACTIVE help, I want to bring a fresh outlook to the Board and ensure every kid has what they need to succeed.

Please reach out with any questions. I am here for you.
