Plants are getting a closer look in 3rd Grade STREAM! Our students are exploring how plants grow and how they transport water through a couple of hands-on experiments.

First, students set up a celery experiment using food coloring to see how water travels through the stem and learn more about the important role of the plant’s xylem. They also planted chia seeds that they’ll observe and record over the coming days as they watch their plants grow.

Through hands-on science, our students are discovering the amazing ways God designed and created the world around us. What a wonderful reminder that even something as simple as a growing plant can teach us about the beauty and complexity of God’s creation!
