After stepping away from my wheel for a year to go to school, I realized just how strong the yearning to make pottery is for me.

For 6 years, making pots in art class was my hobby, but it is now slowly becoming my part time job and way to put myself through school. Now, I am finally ready to share my artwork with the rest of the world outside of my little shed of a studio.

I haven't felt the motivation to make pottery since law school started. However, the yearning to throw has been popping into my head almost everyday lately ... so now, I'm getting into a new studio in Athens and some major clay is about to get thrown down.

Also, it's been a year and a half since I actually finished a piece of pottery -- and as I was moving this last month, I came across the last piece that I put real effort into (and the last one I posted about when it was bone dry), so here's that piece.

I'm pretty proud of this bowl... it survived first firing, now to glazing.
