The University of Georgia Alumni Association was founded in 1834 as the Alumni Society and was the fourth organization of former students to be created by any institution of higher learning in America and the first Alumni Society in the South. The name was changed to The UGA National Alumni Association in 1996. The Board of Directors serves in an advisory capacity to the Association's Executive Co

mmittee. These governing bodies are made up of 55 alumni working to promote, support and advance the programs and services provided by the Alumni Association to the UGA community. To support the UGA Alumni Association, please visit give.uga.edu.

Fresh off an unforgettable FIFA World Cup, we’re celebrating 2026 40 Under 40 honoree Georgia Evert O’Donoghue (BBA ’11) — a Bulldog who is helping put Atlanta on the world stage, one major sporting event at a time.

As COO of the Atlanta World Cup Host Committee, Georgia helped lead the planning and delivery of eight FIFA World Cup matches and a citywide celebration that welcomed fans from around the world. Now, she’s taking on her next big challenge as COO of the Atlanta Super Bowl Host Committee, continuing her work to bring world-class sporting events to Atlanta and create experiences that make the city proud.

A Terry College of Business and Morehead Honors College alumna, Georgia remains deeply connected to UGA — mentoring students, sharing her experiences with the next generation of leaders and, of course, cheering on the Dawgs with her family.
