The ‘Building Futures: Enhancing Lives with Scholarships’ initiative will award $2,000 scholarships to 50 students enrolled in an eligible program at an Alabama community college.

Eligible programs include the following: Aviation Mechanics, Avionics, Construction Management, Welders and Pipefitters, HVAC/R Technicians, Carpenters, Electricians, Plumbers.

To qualify for Building Futures, students must have a minimum 2.5 GPA and must be an Alabama resident. Students must be enrolled in one of the listed short-term certificates, non-credit, or associate degree programs.

📍 Tigers for Tomorrow Wild Animal Preserve (Attalla, AL)

Are you passionate about working with animals and ready to grow in the field of animal care?

Tigers for Tomorrow is seeking a dedicated, hardworking Entry-Level Animal Keeper to join our team. This is a hands-on position where you’ll gain real experience while learning the daily operations of a working wild animal preserve.

✨ What to Expect:
• Training provided on the job
• Start with non-predator species as you learn and grow
• Opportunity to advance with experience and dedication
• Work both independently and as part of a team

🛠️ Requirements:
• Must be able to lift at least 50 lbs
• Comfortable working outdoors in all weather conditions
• Ability to follow directions and stay on task
• Reliable, self-motivated, and team-oriented
• Must live within approximately one hour of the preserve

➕ Preferred (but not required):
• Experience with animals (farm, veterinary, or similar backgrounds)

⚠️ Important Information:
All keepers begin working with non-predator animals. Advancement comes with time, training, and demonstrated responsibility.

This is a growth opportunity for someone serious about building a future in animal care. Everyone starts at the foundation level and works their way up.

🐅 The animals are always the most important part of this work. They must be treated with respect and dignity at all times.

✨ Opportunity for Alabama High School Students | 2026 FBI Teen Academy ✨

The Federal Bureau of Investigation Birmingham Division is now accepting applications for the 2026 FBI Birmingham Teen Academy—an incredible hands-on opportunity for students interested in careers in law enforcement, intelligence, cybersecurity, and public service.

🔍 About the Program
The Teen Academy gives high school students a behind-the-scenes look at how the FBI operates. Participants will learn directly from FBI professionals through presentations and interactive sessions covering topics such as:
• Terrorism & public corruption
• Cyber crime
• Evidence response & polygraph exams
• SWAT operations
• Day-to-day FBI investigative work

Students will also engage with special agents, intelligence analysts, language specialists, and professional staff to learn about evidence gathering, interviewing, and investigative tactics.

📍 Location: Birmingham (Birmingham Field Office)
📅 Dates: July 15–17, 2026
⏰ Time: 8:00 AM – 4:00 PM
🎓 Eligibility: Students entering 11th or 12th grade during the 2026–2027 school year
