Congratulations to Delta Zeta, our August 2026 Helping Hands Award recipient! During the month of August, Delta Zeta earned 70 service hours! When asked about their organization's favorite part about giving back to the community through service, they said: “Delta Zeta’s favorite part of giving back to the community through service is that together our influence on the community is wide-reaching. Through our impact we also have the opportunity to grow our interests and show the compassion of our sisters. We are so privileged to be able to give back and do it alongside our sisters!” Thank you, Delta Zeta, for your dedication to serving our community! We are grateful for the impact you continue to make as you SERVE together!

SERVE at Randolph Macon hosted the SERVE Community Service Expo, bringing students together with 16 community partners from the surrounding area. Students had the opportunity to connect with local organizations, learn more about volunteer and service opportunities, and discover meaningful ways to get involved in the community. A special thank-you to all of our community partners for coming to campus, sharing their time and resources, and talking with our students about the important work they do!

Congratulations Henry Whitler who is our Community Hero Award recipient for August 2026! Henry is a Communication Studies major from the Class of 2028. Through service at the Berkeley County Humane Society in West Virginia, he helped with essential daily tasks, including washing dishes, doing laundry, and cleaning, allowing staff to focus on caring for the animals. His commitment to meeting community needs reminds us that everyday acts of service make a meaningful difference. We are so proud of his accomplishment and for representing the spirit of SERVE!

Beyond First Vibe: Say What You Mean đź’¬

Let’s talk about consent, boundaries, and the conversations we often avoid on Tuesday, September 22 at 6:00 PM in the Truist Theater. This workshop explores how to communicate what you want, hear and respect someone else’s boundaries, and navigate those grey-area moments when things feel unclear.

Come for an honest, low-pressure conversation and leave with more confidence and better language for navigating consent and relationships.
