We are first and foremost a preschool based on teaching in the most natural way as possible for children. We are a nature based preschool inspired by Waldorf & Montessori curriculum not a program because it is on trend or we are hippies. We are Waldorf, Montessori, & nature based preschool with most of learning through play because children are shown that it is the healthiest early environment for
children to be in. They will develop their physical, social, emotional and mental capacities best in an environment that is open ended and natural. We are interested in allowing your child to learn about the ever changing world around him in a natural, fluid way based on his/her ever growing own interests and inclinations rather than some whimsical information that has little to do with his experiences. Your child 's learning environment will be filled with many early educational learning concepts that can be touched, smelled, heard, seen, and tasted in a natural tangible form as they are relevant to him. He/ She will help in the garden, collect eggs from our chickens, and eventually know when certain fruits are ripe based on weather and what’s happening around her. With our cutting edge juicer we collectively make fresh raw fruit and vegetable juice daily. We are excited to close the books at times and not teach from a poster on the wall. Only trained Organic Nurturing Preschool teaches and your child will be engaged in experiences here all day long. Our teacher led experiences from morning circle time, child friendly yoga practice and meditation provide a balanced child learning experience to child free exploration play/learning. We enjoy snack and lunch time most days outside on the table in the garden. Everyone pitching in together as a class is very important to build to us. Children are inspired and kept easily busy by many farm responsibilities and learning practical life skills. We collect eggs, rack the leaves, sweep the floors, water our garden, help prepare snack, set the table, wash our dishes after snack and have a blast doing it. We believe self esteem is created and sustained largely on being able to make a meaningful contribution from this age to adults. Whether that contribution be input during a child's theatre creative play or participating in choirs, our children certainly thrive when they feel like they are doing valuable work. Mostly, our school is a place for children to be children. Nestled away in the garden away from technology. It is a true sanctuary away from typical noise that often fills a child’s world these days. Children are free to play, we often get pretty dirty. We appreciate if parents contribute to our media free inspired space at home and on the children's everyday clothing. Disney characters and unnatural cartoon figures should be left abscent from their clothes during school days due to the impact they have on other children. Lets let the children be seen, heard and valued in the most natural way as possible. Our mission will always be embraced strongly on the ever most sacred childhood experience itself. We honor, and protect the children at Organic Nurturing Preschool's most early years of learning and growth. Our teachers are trained in Non Violent communication skills, Yoga Alliance Trained, Pediatric CPR & First Aide. With Waldorf and Montessori experience training. Organic Nurturing Preschool classrooms have an intimate feel. The classroom size is kept small benefiting children with the unique individual attention they need and deserve while their parents are absent. Preschool Hours: 9am-1pm
