"I couldn't have done my TEDx talk without Jen's support. She was by my side the entire way, helping me foster, grow, and trust my creativity, confidence, and knowledge. Jen helped me break old patterns and move beyond my limitations to greater freedom and joy in my work. She has an innate abili

ty to balance the yin and the yang to evolve in business dynamically and boldly while allowing me to listen deeply to intuition and my heart. I benefited from the powerful and magical space she holds that honors mind, body, and spirit. I am genuinely grateful for her caring support, loving presence, and guidance, for both honoring the process and getting the outcome I wanted."
-Sonja Bochard, TEDx talk: “How Buildings Can Make Us Better”

“When I started my coaching journey with Jen, I knew I was ready to take my own coaching business to the next level.. but I was very uncertain about the path forward & the tools I would need to get me there. Thankfully, Jen was the perfect guide, opening my eyes to new paths my business could take and helping me uncover tools within myself I didn’t even know were there. Through our work together, I was able to clarify what my business is really about and the clients I am really meant to serve. By learning to trust that vision, my business has grown financially in ways I previously only dreamed of… but deep down feared were impossible for me. Through Jen’s guidance, I was able to make my big impossible dream a living, breathing reality.” –Matthew Foley, Coach, Author - A Path To Call Your Own

Are the "40 under 40" lists leaving out one of the most powerful decades of a woman's life?
I sat down with Robyn Cohen (founder of AFTR) for a real, unscripted conversation about ambition, perimenopause, ageism, and what it actually means to succeed after 40. We talk about why traditional work structures were never built with women in mind, my own health crash after my TEDx talk, and why more women over 50 are starting businesses than ever before.
If you've ever felt like you should be happy because you finally have what you used to want — but you're exhausted instead — this one's for you. 🎥 Watch here:

Most goal-setting advice is designed for your best day.

But most of us aren't living our best day right now. We're managing a lot — economic uncertainty, life transitions, perimenopause, the general weight of this moment. Setting goals for your most disciplined, well-rested self isn't motivating. It's just another way to feel like you're failing.

This week's piece is about a different approach: setting goals calibrated to your actual life, not the one you keep promising yourself you'll have once things calm down.

Three practical questions that change everything — including a simple reframe that helped a friend finally stop shoulding on herself about exercise.

One of my clients — I'll call her Carol — is in her 70s. She's been a therapist since the 1980s, holding space for others her entire career.

Underneath all of it, a body of writing has been whispering to her for years.

Three weeks ago, she finally said yes to herself — and to coaching. Not because she lacked vision. She had plenty. But she needed someone to help her reign it in, stay present with where she is now, create clear next steps, and make tangible progress without getting too far ahead of herself.

Today she told me her project is alive. She's moving forward and more excited than she's been in years.

This week's piece is about the things that keep whispering to us — and what it takes to finally let them out.

Money is one of the last real taboos.
We'll talk about almost anything before we talk about what we actually make, what we actually owe, or what we actually believe about whether we deserve more.
I just published a piece responding to a brilliant essay by Megan "Mira" Lathrop — a commentary on our unconscious relationship with money, and what I've seen over 20 years of coaching holistic practitioners and creatives who are building something real, often from very little.
It covers the identity stories we carry in — the scholarship kid, the one who isn't good with numbers, the one who was taught that wanting more is greedy. And what actually shifts when you're finally willing to look.

Google just changed search overnight.
It’s not the first time the rules changed on us. And it won’t be the last.
The businesses that survive aren’t the ones who follow the rules best. They’re the ones with a vision strong enough to outlast any algorithm.
I just published a piece on why the creative process is the most practical business strategy right now. Substack link in bio.

Google made a big change last week that you should know about. And it seems impossible to keep up with all the changes lately. Here's a sustainable approach.

Having your own business is not for the faint of heart. It requires constant inner growth and surfing with the waves of the unknown, dancing with your creativity, healing yourself worth, and so much more.

I pawned my grandmother's jewelry to buy food.

That's what it cost me to love my work while avoiding everything behind it — including the business side I didn't know how to face.

If you've ever felt that resistance, this one's for you. Link in first comment.
