Last weekend I sat in a circle with more than thirty men. What were we discussing? Sports scores, or the latest news? No, we were discussing what it means that “Education is an atmosphere, a discipline, and a life,” and what passages of Scripture support this concept. We all came from different walks of life, with different jobs and experiences, but we did have one thing in common: a desire to be better husbands and fathers, for the children’s sake.

We might be able to answer a few emails ever so often but I’m not promising anything lol!

Expect that you will be a little antsy since it’s planning season and your fave resource is closed!
Expect the unexpected!
Expect the roaring fire that is the vision of Soirée to be stoked and built even higher!

Sooooo. many great sessions were held at the Big One last weekend!

One of them was from Soirée sister, Ashley Olander. Lesson prep is part of our job. But it doesn’t have to be anything that’s a burden to and/or weight on us! 💜

Ashley is so sweet to share these slides with everyone. I hope you can take some gold nuggets from it like I have (since I didn’t get to make it to the session 🙄 like many of you 😆)

The Lord has blessed me in a unique way, and Soirée is truly only possible because of this. That guy beside me (who pretty much rolls his eyes at all things social media 😂) makes it so that I can pursue the passion that God put in my heart...to serve the families in the ministry the Lord has given me...to do what it takes to help fulfill a need that is so great in the homeschooling community.

So if you’re new here and don’t know everybody, let me introduce you to Chris Cooley, better known as Mr. Soirée (as one of the Soirée gals called him a while back lol 😆) The
would not have ever been dreamed up, worked out, or happened if it wasn’t for this guy!

WHAT a sweet gift...the local Conference team gals and the Hostesses all pitched in to send Jessica Lollar Becker, me, and our hubbies over to Asheville, NC, for the afternoon/evening for a little unwinding after the whirlwind Big One.
